The Physiotherapy Benevolent Fund (PBF) is able to assist:
- Past and present members of the CSP experiencing unforeseen hardship or financial difficulties.
- Members who have been a subscribing member of the CSP for at least two years (six months for students).
- Those who cease to be members, for example, retired physiotherapy and associate members are also eligible for support.
- Previous student members will be eligible (for a period of five years) provided they complete their study, qualified as a physiotherapist, and work in the UK.
- Previous qualified or associate members, who no longer work within physiotherapy, are eligible for support for up to five years following the ending of their membership.
The PBF is UNABLE to assist with:
- A shortfall in income / expenditure due to consumer debts such as credit cards and loans.
- Financial pressures arising solely from cost of living increases.
- A shortfall in income due to taking part in industrial action.
- Awards for educational purposes.
- Awards to support family members in the UK or overseas.

Complaints procedure: Should you wish to raise a concern or complaint about your PBF experience please contact the Chair, Lawrence Owers on MBFAdmin@cspmbf.org.uk. If the issue or issues need investigation they will be passed to the PBF Trustee Complaints Officer who will manage the process and contact you.
